Dear Parents of Children with Selective Mutism: We had a great meeting tonight: Parents from other states and countries were able to participate via "Video Skype" Meeting. We exchanged information, parents learned from each other, and they reported to me that they were able to develop a plan for their child at this point in their schooling (beginning of Spring into end of the academic year). I am grateful to the parents who participated, and due to their positive feedback, I decided to have another Educational Meeting on March St. Parents have to either email me or call the office with information such as their emails, telephone numbers, full names, and Skype addresses. Also, it would help to receive questions and topics of interest in advance so that we can actually address concerns that parents have. I was very pleased with a long email I received with several general questions from a parent: This allowed me to talk for over one hour... and these were similar questions that other parents often have. Note, however, that I cannot answer specific questions about each child during a group meeting. However, it is possible to schedule an individual Skype Meeting with a specific family/parents. Please, contact my office for more information. Thank you, and looking forward to seeing and connecting via Skype with other parents on:

March 1st

Time: 7 pm

Dr. Joffe's office, and via Skype

Parents have to RSVP by February 24 and sign in at 6:45 to allow to participation via Skype.

Thank you, Vera Joffe, Ph.D.
